ePAL project focuses on developing a “roadmap” to identify the needed models, methodologies, technologies, as well as the architectural infrastructure and constituting
components for supporting the establishment of Professional Virtual Communities (PVCs) for elderly professionals.
The main aim of establishing these PVCs is to support the challenging fluid formation of problem solving Virtual Teams (VTs).
Therefore, the main focus areas of this roadmapping activity include: behavior modeling, causal reasoning and soft computing,
affective computing / emotion-oriented systems, machine learning, and collaborative networks.
