Samuil Angelov

Samuil Angelov

Samuil Angelov has completed his master studies at the Sofia University, faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. He has obtained his PhD at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2006 in the department of Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences on the topic of electronic contracting. Subsequently, he has worked as an assistant professor at the Eindhoven University of Technology until 2012. Currently, he combines his position as a senior researcher at the University of Amsterdam with a position as a senior lecturer for the Software Engineering team at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences. He has been teaching various bachelor and master courses for more than 10 years. His teaching portfolio covers a broad spectrum of subjects in Information Systems and Software Engineering. His research interest are in domains of software and enterprise reference architectures, cross-organizational business process automation, and electronic contracting. His research has led to many international journal and conference publications. He is regularly reviewing papers for established international conferences and journals.

Ozgul Unal-Karakas

Ozgul Unal Karakas

Ozgul Unal Karakas received her Bachelors degree from the department of Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University and a Masters degree from the department of Information Systems at the same university. She worked as a Software Development Engineer at Software Development Division of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey from 1999 until 2002. In September 2002, she started her PhD studies at the Computer Science Department of the Faculty of Science of University of Amsterdam. She received her PhD degree in 2010 on the subject of semi-automated matching and integration of database schemas. At the same time, she continued working for the Central Bank in Turkey. Since 2012, she works as a part-time post-doc researcher in the area of customized and service-enhanced product specification in networks of SMEs.
